About Me
I am retired and now have time to again enjoy oil painting as a hobby after a along absence.
I take inspiration for my work from my past and present life experiences. I enjoy the challenge
of portraying new subjects. As a member of 2 local art groups I also enjoy sharing painting
experiences with other artists.
I have been fortunate in having my work in a local gallery and my 'Coal Not Dole' painting was
featured in The Sentinel newspaper special edition commemorating the 25th anniversary of the
1980s' National Miners Strike. I also have some work on permanent display in a very good
local restaurant.
All of the paintings shown on the web site are my own work painted in Oil on quality canvasses.
Some paintings are on block canvasses with the image wrapped over the edges and therefore do
not need to be framed.

I just wanted you to know my wife loves the painting (Stormy New York) and said it is the best
present she has ever received (I would take this as a great compliment as I have bought her
some nice presents in the past) It now has pride of place in the dining room. Many thanks for
creating the painting, it is also a great talking point with our friends as well.
